crazy bounce to disc problem

hi,
has anyone had problems bouncing to disc?

i have protools LE 7.3.1 running through a digi002 rack on a macbook.
the problem is that sometimes for certain sessions i try to bounce to desktop and everything is fine until the very end of the bounce and i get a pop-up that says:

"could not complete the bouce to disc command because Assertion in "/Volumes?Development/vb_cliff/AlturaPorts/NewFileLibs/FileFormat/MacBuild/../../FF/Audio/FF_AudioProperty.cpp" line 33."

same message every time.

i tried going to the Workspace window and setting it to T (Transfer mode) and just get a message that says:
"this volume is not an audio playback volume"

i tried to bounce down to my HD and to an external. its weird because this only happens to certain sessions.
I really need to get these to bounce down.

can anyone help?

I had this problem a few times a coupla years ago, turns out it was a plugin that had kinda corrupted itself or something like that. Try removing plugin types one by one to see if that's the same problem?

EDIT: what's your DAE buffer size set to? Try setting it to 2. If none of that works, try trashing the Digi databases and prefs!
