listened on myhome stereo and i had to deactivate my X-BASS eq setting....dude, this song is slamming.....ill forgive the keys solos if you turn them up just a tad........that guitar that came in at 3:25 just didnt have a tone that set right with me....too wet and didnt fit the song imo.....i woulda went for a cleaner funkier tone, but thats coming from a cracker (but im a Ritz):D

outside of that i have nothing to pick on at all......

Herbie would be proud...are u sending him a CD?....

Fine work, Q! Mix wise, the only thing that I found a bit out of place was the wah wah guitar that was always chopping away at my right ear. I might have panned it just a bit closer to center- its seems like its out there all by itself since it draws a bit more attention than its un-wah'd counter part on the left. Maybe pan them both in a little? I dunno.

Oh, yeah! Huh! Huh! Gimme some BASS! Good tune! Crappy? My ass!

I'd like to hear you set up a 5-minute loop in Fruity Loops (ooooh, or get BigKahuna or Emeric to send you a drum track) and just knock yourself out on bass. Go nuts. Sounds pretty good as is, but I'd rather just hear the bass and drums go at it.

Then again, you know what instrument I play. hehe, damn guitarists...

Very cool. I found myself moving to it before I knew it. Makes me realize even more that I'm a guitarist that tries to play bass, and I'm not a bass player. ;)
 
Thx fella's!. Even my half-baked attempts at constructing melodic
and solo lines using other instruments are poor,being a bassist I
always try to feature the bottom in more of an additional harmonic
flow rather than to just "keeping the rhythm"

So here's the deal with this (strictly my opinion).

Drums and the bass ROCK!!

Synths, well, they were ok, but I need to hear a little more force with them. I could tell you are more confident with the strings than the keyboards. Liked the "trumpet" solo in the middle and the wah-wah guitar knocked me out!!

Your crappy demos beat my crappy demos hands down!!!
 
that was sweet ..i did this in collage on cubase and this knocks ten bells of shit out of any that the students submitted....nice work...no way your just a bassist
 
damn guy...let's feel the funk in my top bunk. someone stuck in the 70's? i thought i should pull out my old glass table and blow a couple rails....diggin that guitar solo....keep it up cat, this be the sauce.
