Crackly Moniters

Hey guys,

My new SP5B's crackle when i play CD's on on my computer through them. They sound fine with audio already on my comp and system sounds..any help???

If audio is good from the pc to soundcard to speakers, but it craps out when going cdrom to soundcard to speakers you may have a driver problem for the cdrom. Or a problem with the cdrom itself.
 
shit i hope not. I was looking foward to listening to my CD's on the moniters...
 
you got a wire that goes from your cdrom directly to your soundcard?
 
What software are you using to play the CD's? If it's a newer Window's Media Player, it doesn't use the CD in on the sound card. Maybe you don't have DMA enabled for your CD rom? Just guessing without knowing what OS, what software to play CD's, etc. etc.
 
im using windows media player and win XP. It sounded fine through my comp speakers before i got the moniters...
