Hi,
I recently picked up a used 1981 Rickenbacker 4003 bass on eBay, however when it arrived 2 days ago I noticed a crack in the 9th fret inlay (sharktooth shape inlay, for those unfamiliar with the Ricks). I talked to the seller, and he agreed either to refund the bass or give a partial refund.
Any ideas on if it is possible to repair the crack in the inlay, or the effect on its collectable value if I just let it be? Is there a possibilty that the crack can affect the sound or playability later on?
Thanks,
Ron
