CPort recording problems

I've just stepped up to a multi input box, and Im having problems...

When I go to record I've got everything hooked up, but only channels 1,2,5 and 6 are getting any levels. I've checked cabling and switched it all around, and tried direct inputing a line level source, but the soundcards mixer isn't registering anything on channels 3,4,7 or 8.

do any users have ideas as to what the issue could be, or solutions to try? thanks in advance,

I have the c-port also ,but haven't had problems with it.First,re-install the software to assure yourself it isn't that.3-4 and 7-8 are stereo pairs,so you possibly could have a hardware problem in the breakout box.The tracks that you can record,try assigning them to the OUTS of 3-4 and 7-8 and see if the hardware there is working or not.These are just blind suggestions to try to help you narrow it down.
