sounds ok. what are you looking for?...an exact duplicate?
It is a little "tinny" sounding, and the drums are obviously the "lil sequencer who never makes a mistake", but still nicely programmed. I'm not really familiar with the original (this is a cover, right?), so I have no basis for comparision...is there singing, and this is the music bed? If this was all original, I'd say it rocks and put in more lead gtrs!!

This was written by Iron Maiden from their Piece of Mind album respectively. They're one of my favorite bands.

Ya, the mp3's are losing some sound qaulity in the conversion from WAV to mp3..Im using a shareware version of Goldwave
to convert wav to mp3. maybe this is why is sounds tinny.
I'm still experimenting with guitar sounds.

Not trying to duplicate the original soudn qaulity wise, just note wise and inspirationally .

Thanks for commenting on the drums. That's a note for note transcription of the drums Maiden did. i programmed it myself.

I only got about 30 sec worth.Maybe thats all you had?The drums sounded very nice.Guitars need work,soundwise.I recommend writing your own stuff,but as an old 'Maiden fan,I understand the allure of covering their stuff!You're on the right track,for sure!
Might I suggest covering something from the "Killers"album?That to me is THE definitive Maiden album!
 
ya, the Dianno era was interesting.

I figured out why the mp3 sounds so bad..bit rate.
I was only convrting WAV to mp3 128 .....the difference between
128 and 320 is striking, at least htrough my headset, which is how Im mixing right now....I know, I know, monitors are on their way...
 
Sounds pretty damn good. Personally, I'd mix the drums a little differently. The snare is there and sounds good but the toms need a different voice and need to come forward more and a little more kick too. With a decent vocal on it, it would be very impressive.:cool:

Nice Job! I was singing along to it the whole time. Good job with the drum programming. Also, cool lead, sounded almost exact. This sounds way better then the previous version you had up.

At the end, I was wondering why you left the final guitar melody out after the rest of it being dead on, but maybe your not finished with it.

All in all, great job with this great tune! Add vocals please.

I will work on the drums a bit more.different toms sounds, more kick etc...However, I'm yet to finish the guitar ending, maybe redo the solos, and most of all, a better WAV to mp3 conversion. I'm looking for comments until then though to take into consideration...

I can't do justice vocally on it though, I may try anyhow, but
I'm no Bruce Dickinson.

This rocked full blast on my stereo. I'm too much of a rookie to comment on sound .. so i won't.

Man this takes me back. I played this very tune in my budie's basement. We where trying out a new bassist. .. man that was a while ago.

Anyways. Keep on rocking! Awesome guitar playing.
God it's hard to type while mildly headbanging. .. i'm gonna go download some maiden now.

I realized that mp3 is only 128 bits. I'm gonna try one at 320 and replace it if it sounds better, whch I'm sure it will.

Ya, as a guitarist primarily, the bass lines were definatley a challenge to fingerpick!!
