Maybe but he certainly didn't come across as trying to help me either.

I didn't use emboss. It's the "Photocopy" Filter.

My monitor here at home isn't calibrated correctly. When I look at it with my monitor at work the blur is a bit excessive.

Yeah, it's hard for me to not do web graphics. Other feedback I've gotten from folks elsewhere is good for this top part. One musician wrote me to say it looked like a clip from a dream. I see what you mean about the line separation. I'll see what a blend looks like...

Thanks! The logo was some hard work for me, and I was suprised that it came out as well as it did. As for concept, there really wasn't one. I don't even have an actual concept for my music. I like to start out blank and see where my mind takes me most of the time. Having a clear cut concept is good for when I'm at work but with my own stuff I enjoy that whole stream of conciousness type thing.

I appreciate all the positive and helpful ideas from the rest of you guys/gals.

I can appriciate what you're saying about the concept stuff.. I do this sometimes as well.. As I said before.. you're definately on a good start.. in case you were wondering "who the the hell does this guy think he is" I'm a graphic designer..(and no not just a kid with photoshop:D ) . so i do lots of this type of stuff.. and i know it can be tough... sometimes frustrating to put your work out there and have negative feedback about it... take it with a grain of salt... and look for any useful suggestions.. critism can make you alot stronger

'Owned'...what does that mean?

Hello chaps,

Just for the record, I will say I like the cover...but for me a little more turquoise blue would have lent to the 'spacey ' atmosphere...

...but, can you please explain to me what the word 'owned' means in the context in which it is used in these posts?

All the best!

Two of the posters above got into a slapping fight, and when one made a particular retort, I said the other had gotten "owned", much as you would say he got "burned" or "beaten".

Then the one I said "was owned" got pissy because he didn't want to be the loser, and so it went on.

And now the dust has settled and we're all friends again! Wooh!
