It's like the lost B-side to a Bad Company country album that was never released! :D

good vocals.. I like the slide guitar stuff, but I don't like the tone.. probably just a preference, but it sounds too bright/crackly to me.. I'm also hearing some crackling on a few other parts.. not sure if it's the whole mix or just the guitar sound.. maybe some other comments will clear it up.. almost like a compressor/limiter threshold setting or something too.. not sure.. the vocals are the best part of this tune for me.. good tune!

nice songs david............i would agree that there is kind of a hard to describe crackling aspect to the lead tone that makes it sound a little harsh............i have no good suggestions how to fix it though.........it's great playing though

other than that, great mix.........sounds good

Man,

I really liked that, especially the guitars, great blend, too cool.

Perfect voice for this song, perfect song for your voice (play on words hehehe).

This hit me just right!!

I like the song. Your voice does suit this style very well. Everything sounded good to me except the guitar was a little harsh or thin sounding or something. It was played well though :D.

If'n you're a gonna call this Country, you'd better throw some accoustic guitar in there dammit ;) :D

Nice work.

A good tune for sure.....I like the delay on the guitar. I'll have to echo the comments about the distortion though. What the hell is that? Sounds like you cut it at redline. It's nice playing, but that distorted sound....man; that's harsh.

BUT.....a VERY cool song and nice performance.

cool tune brutha. I like the riffs and fills. There some sounds I cant identify going on in there. I`d hang the balls on the chicken, I`d go ahead and 2/4 the bass and drums and make it a damned good country song too...noboday says you cant have two versions :)

Thanks guy's! Damn I didn't know how bad this did sound till i listened to it again this evening, shit the guitar tone is way bad. Haven't retracked it yet but did a remix and cut some highs on it. I think it's a way better mix but the guitar tone just aint cuttin it. Thanks again fellas.

Came back for another listen.

Damn, son this is a hit!!

This ain't country, this be ROCK & ROLL!!

man those first 2 seconds are rough....lol...then it gets considerably better!!!...man you have a great voice...and country just isnt my thing however i would listen to you sing a shopping list .....everytime..

it's not even really ALL that country just slower rock to me...

cool lead slinging in there too..
bass drum is a touch loud..but i like the sound of it ..i like the wavery guitar sound throughout.....

im tellin you you could make a fortune fillin in for the singer on "cheap trick"....

nice

You do have a great voice. Maybe some verb on the lead gtr would help the tone??? This reminds me of some old eagles.
I would call this country rock. It doesnt sound real country to me. I have to listen to country every once in a while cause my wife likes country-lol. She would call this rock. Your vocals make the song without a doubt....
Good song.

Dang David. You have a great voice. This isnt country at all. It's hillbilly rock!:D The kind of music I DIG.

Man....I wish I had that strong of a voice. Then I wouldnt have to double everything I sing!I swear you sound like David Huff(I think I mentioned that already but it's true)....it must be a mississippi accent thing.

Nice guitar work. The tremolo effect is working on the rhythm guitar really well. The lead guitar sounds pretty cool too.

I downloaded another version of this last night and forgot to comment. This mix is a lot better than the previous one.The first one had some kind of distortion going on in it all the way through the tune(except for the vocals).

Good job man!I enjoyed it.

Cool tune David, the tremelo guitar is sweet!
I dig the lead bends, sounds like a steel in parts.

How did you record the rythym git, nice full sound.

Great writing and fine vocal performance as always!

I enjoyed it very much, thanks for sharing,
Pete

Yeah, strong voice!! me likes. coooooooool tremolo git!!!

question..............what did you do to the snare???? i don't quite know how to explain it, but it sounds like it's across the whole stereo srectrum???:( It's sounds like it's everywhere, not just up the middle or panned to one side?? am i making any sense at all??? the reason i ask, is because i love it!!! Iv'e never really heard something that sounds like it??? not the tone(which is great to!) but how it sit's?? it's in both ear's, but also right smack dab in the middle of my head to. some kind of reverb??

damn thats a long question!!!! cool tune, man!

Thank's

peace

Rick

Hey David,
Nice tunage man:) Nice vibe to the song..... and yes, youre vocals do sound great. I like the tremolo guit too...nice!
Im listening on the puter speakers here at work, so any mix opinion will reflect that. Im gonna respectfully disagree w/ rick on the snare... I didnt care for it quite so much. It sounds a little too compressed or something on these speakers ...and kinda inconsistant. Im by no means a drum nazi, just mentioning something that stuck out to me. .....super vocs David, really clean!!! I dug the tune alot.

I've always wanted to use tremelo...but never thought I was pulling it off. Dang...you did it thru the whole damn tune!!! This is a good tune, with a couple of raw edges showing...but I like it A LOT.

I gave it another listen. The remix is definitely easier on the ears. Nice job. I still really like the song. This makes my keepers folder now, but please, please, please let us know when you retrack the guit because I'm fairly certain that will lift it to another level. :)

Sorry, father/daughter issues this week:( , and I aint had no time for shit.

GT, thanks for another listen guy, I know it was hard on the ears man:D . Thanks alot!

Jamal Bucket/head:) , dude, i could sit and listen to you sing a shopping list anytime also. Have another mix up, hope the bass drum is better this time. "Cheap Trick"? :D hahahaha...yeah right.

Myx62,
maybe some verb on the lead gtr would help the tone??? No, I think the tone was horrible...but i changed it, hope it's a little better now. Thanks man!

Kramer, "This isn't country at all. It's hillbilly rock." :D , No man it's "swamp rock" or redneck rock "stuff":D . Hell I dont know what it is..crap comes to mind though. Thanks alot Kramer.

Pete, The rythym gtr, i used a fender twin. Thanks for asking, and for the listen!

Rick, I kinda screwed up on that snare..big time. Just didn't take enough time with it. 57 and an over head on top, and the overhead I had panned 10:00, that's why the wide spread I think...but I just dont know what the hell i'm doing either:D . Thanks Rick!

g, Oh yes..you are a drum nazi...make no fucking mistake:D . Hey man thanks, I really needed that. I knew the snare sucked dirt, but..it was a quicky, and well,,,that's all I know:) . Thanks a bunch man!

mixmkr, hey dude...i've heard you play dont forget, and you could pull off anything..damn. Yeah the tremelo thang, heck I was just going to use it in places, but decided what the hell...guess that was lazy eh? Thanks mixmkr!

Jagular, Thanks for staying in there man, that's pretty cool. I redid the guitar just for you man...hope ya like it better. Thanks alot!
