First let me say, turn it up. I had to turn my crap little computer speakers max. But this is some great stuff. I don't usually say that music I hear on this site sounds like this artist or that artist, but this stuff sounds like dtb. I don't have enough experience to comment on the mix and shit like that, but I would love have your permission to email you about your music.

again, great work.

I really like it overall. But I think the string synth sound could use some softening. Maybe a little less attack and a little more release. What kind of synth is that?
I also think it might sound cool if you could incorporate some sort of undulating deep bass line to develop the "trance" side of it a little more. Something to give it a little more "groove".
Nice job.:)

Thanks Subtractor.

The synth is a Roland XV-5050, I used it for the piano as well as strings. You're right, the strings need work, I finally just had to quit screwing with them and put it up for review.

Sorry about the dual threads, I asked that one be deleted but nothing has happened yet.

A va synth would give you a nice edge in place of the strings. Nothing too freaky, but a little more "unique" sound to them.

I really like the concept. Incorporating a little more subtle "electronica" would be to good effect, I think.:)
Its hard to mix country and electronica, but your on the right track!

I'm not a keyboard player so excuse my ignorance...

What's a VA synth?

It's a virtual analog synth. It shapes a waveform to create sound rather than using sample rom. While sample rom synths will more closely imitate the sound of any given "real" instrument, a va will produce much more unique complex sounds.

Here's a couple va's.

Va synths are responsible for a great deal of the sounds you hear in electronica, as well as most other genres of music these days.:)

Sweet sounds!
I especially liked the acoustic, very nice.
How did you record it?

Very good mix,really enjoyed it!
