As some of you may know I have a Rode NT1a and a behringer mic pre.

I want to buy an SDC mic and an interface to my computer, and you guys told me I need a better mic pre

For the Mic
The AKG 451 (alternative Rode NT5)

for the new Mic pre upgrade:
Maudio DMP3

for the interface
Tascam US122
('cause I like the mobile recording option on my laptop. I have a desktop computer with an Maudio DiO 2448 PCI and a very good and quiet laptop)

All this to record my Taylors 814CE and all-koa Taylor JDCM Jumbo
for solo fingerstyle guitar in stereo with the NT1a and the AKG 451

What do you think?

Should be a solid front end. For the future you might want to add a comp/limiter.

How does your room sound? A few hundred bucks in room treatment can go a long way.

Yes, I think it will sound very good as long as the room sounds ok.

Thanks,

I don't know what my room sounds like yet, because I've just moved to the attic, which is a very large open space (36 m2) carpeted and a high ceiling (3 meters) and wood pannel walls.

What kind of treatment would it need?
