T travis_38 New member May 21, 2007 #2 Core2Duo is a product made by Intel (Core Duo was the first line... Core 2 Duo was the second of the line. Think "Pentium", "Pentium II" etc.). Dual core is a general term that refers to all processors (including the Core 2 Duo) that have 2 cores.

B brzilian New member May 21, 2007 #3 CoreDuo processors are still 32bit processors. Core2Duos are full 64 bit processors.
