There's a girl at work here who bought a concert DVD set (Santana/Buddy Guy), but is diappointed because she can't play her DVD in her car stereo (*ahem*).

Anyway, long story short, I told her "...sure...I can plug my DVD player into my soundcard and just record the audio for you onto regular CD's.".
What I forgot to consider was the amount of time recording the tracks individually so that she can go directly to Track #3 when she wants to....:o

Is there any common/free software which will do this for me?

i remember i recorded the Tenacious D "Live In London" DVD straight into my comptuer in real time with Cool Edit haha. i just hooked my Playstation 2 up to the sound card, hit play on the DVD, and hit record on Cool Edit. then once it was done, i put the giant WAV file into CD Architect and put track markers. it came out pretty nice. :D:cool:
