Copy paste problem

Hey guys!I recently encountered a problem in Sonar 3 and would like to share it with you.I did some rap song and the vocals chucked ok.While mixing,I bounced the various takes of the chorus into one track.
Coz the chorus doesn't change,I copied it after the various stanzas respectively.
The problem is that the quality of the chorus goes down i.e the first one has the highest quality and the last one has a bad one.
Comparing them during playback,the choruses tend to lose some level of brightness.Any word of advice?

What does that mean? The vocalist spewed on the mic??

There should be no physical difference simply copying a clip. To check that the clips are the same and that you are hearing things, do this -

1. Take the original chorus track and stick it in a new track in a new file
2. Grab the second or third chorus track and stick it in another track in the new file.
3. Flip the phase on one of the tracks
4. Solo and play back both tracks.

If you hear nothing, then they are exactly the same. If you hear something, then they are different and something weird has happened in your copy process.

If you hear nothing, but you can hear a difference in the song itself, it may be an example of masking frequencies -- something else in your track is sitting in the same frequency range as your original chorus track which then peaks or dips out some of the harmonic content when all the tracks are played at the same time. This causes you to hear the tracks as being different. Grab your EQ and start cutting some frequencies to give everything a little room to breathe and be heard by itself.

If you heard something, the copy process was stuffed up somewhere. Give us a step-by-step account of how you did the bounce and copy process and we can see if there is something weird going on in that process.

What I did

I recorded two takes of the chorus,bounced them to one track,then gave the track some reverb to brighten it.After being contented with it,I simply copied and pasted it-after each verse.
The instrumentation is basically a set of two loops,one for the verses and another for the chorus.That's all that I did.

Could making a copy of a copy of a copy etc be a problem?
