For those of you who heard the song 'Bad Dream' I posted in he clinic, I can announce that all six songs are finally recorded, and I've started to do different mixes 'til I get satisfied with the outcome. The first mix did come out pretty good, but did contain some glitches that have to be redone... But it's coming soon...
At this point, the only processing-rack I have is a Roland GP-100 guitar preamp. Might sound odd, but it's has a 4 band EQ with 2 parametric bands, and a good sounding reverb with HPF, LPF, predelay and all that shit. The delay and all other effects are also very versatile and nice sounding. Bottom line; it does the job and it does it good.
This unit dealt with reverb when I mixed, but I wanted something to fatten the accordion a bit. Then it struck me!! the POD!! The accordion sounds farting unbelievable through that little box. A fair share of distortion and flanger/chorus/rotary/whatever, and it came out roaring like mad.. I ended up panning the original signal left, and the colored signal right, and the result was amazing..
