I just found this article and it seems like a killer idea. I don't know about "poor man's" since you'll be eating up a lot of tape, but, I thought you all might get a kick out of it.
I guess you just make tape loops, so you're not eating much tape at all really - cool idea I'd say - rather limited to range comparatively. reminds me of overdubbing water tuned crystal glasses ...
would be cool to play triads & such on faders like on keys, it would certainly be a bit of a learned craft with chord progressions and movement...

Awesome! I could actually do this now that I have 2 working decks, except I guess I would have to use the 8 track as the loop so I could get a whole major scale of loops and send it to the 4 track. It would be fun to use the mixer as an instrument that's for sure!
