Cool edit pro 2.0 shuts down

When Going To Erase the title of my track being made from my LP. The symbol that is a square gets added within the title and when I try to rename it, cool edit pro 2.0 shuts down.

Has anyone else had this happen?

Any ideas on how I can fix it?
