The itty bitty bluetooth keyboard and mouse that come with the iMac are a joke. Sell them for a mint to some Apple fanboi and buy something that's actually comfortable to use.

2.66 GHz Intel Core i5 quad core with Logic? I'm getting myself an iMac soon and wish to know what spec I should go for....

@ guitarman. I use the wireless keyboard as a giant remote for my eyetv and netflix, but purchased a full size keyboard at the same time i got the machine as the wireless one is missing 1/4 of the keys i need for keyboard shortcuts in the applications i use so SCREW that. But yes, you are totally correct. I have the big keyboard & wireless connected, the computer doesn't care which one i use.
As for feedback on my tech specs. I TOTALLY overkilled but i guess that's good, i won't have to upgrade ANY time soon. I was debating between the iMac and the Mac towers, the iMac won on the cool factor and space saving and didn't disappoint in functionality. The machine itself is FAST, super FAST, doesn't hiccup, i've had 5 logic windows open at the same time cutting and pasting between projects and running audio, it NEVER stops to think like all my other machines. I've had PHOTOSHOP, PowerPoint and Audio programs running withe EyeTV running and it's fine, not to mention the screen's so damn big i have ALL the windows sized and open on the screen. It's even COOL with editing video. It's happy with Pro Tools, I have NOTHING bad to say about this configuration. The 27" screen is SWEET, the picture is pristine, my eyes are happy. I've had no compatibility issues with software.
I think the QUAD CORE is AMAZING. More than enough for my needs, spending that much on the machine is worth it when I know I won't have to upgrade anytime soon.
Please note, what is AWESOME is the combination of this iMac 27" and the Apogee ensemble. I am VERY HAPPY.
The Apogee Ensemble in my opinion is kicking the Digi's A$$!!!! The sound is warmer.
