hi there, i'm converting a bunch of albums to cd's for my brother. bought a record player from the pawn shop, ( they're getting harder to find, and expensive) any whoo....i hooked the record player into my mackie mixer, and then to the pc....and it is working ok, but here's the problem....the signal level coming from the record player is very low, with the gain maxed out, it is around -20 db . and there is no bottom end....sounds terrible. So my question is, what the best way to do this? Could the needle be the culprit with the bad sound ie no bass...? why the low input signal, the signal out of the cd player is fine and sounds great. any suggestions would be great! thanks in advance!
