converting MP3 to WMA format

Anyone have a good way to convert MP3 to WMA format?

I joined AcidPlanet so I could post recordings. They require the files to be in WMA format. So I went to the microsoft site and upgraded to Windows Media Player 10, and tried to install the Plus Audio Converter Update. No ALT70.DLL file is the error I got. In addition the new media player went unstable -- totally screwed up.

I had to go back to a previous system set point to get rid of the mess.

I uploaded a couple of songs.

What is the best transfer rate in KB/sec (ie 10, 20, 30, etc)? I would like a quick transfer for someone listening to the radio by a modem connection to minimize delays.
