Converting MIDI tracks to Audio Tracks

Ok, tell me if this would work:

Once I have the track I want to convert ready, I use the MIDI Output of my firebox and run it to the MIDI IN of my Keyboard. Then, I use the audio output jack of my keyboard and connect that to the line in of my firebox, then I play the track I want converted and record a new audio track of it at the same time.
 
Assuming everything's hooked up and running correctly, that should do it, yes.
