I'm looking at Apogee's AD16, DA16 and a RME HDSP 9652 Hammerfall soundcard. Any comments? I can get the whole set up for 3 grand.

That's what I thought but I had to check.

I'm gonna dump off my Digi002 most likely and get out of Protools all together.

That is a good price. Maybe not as good as it looks at first though. The AD16 and DA 16 are only fetching about $1400 or $1500 these days, but with this deal though you get a free Hammerfall card If this where the AD16x and the DA16x though this would be a steal

A buddy of mine got the AD and DA's for about $1200 each off of ebay last year. You can probably find that soundcard for around $300 somewhere. So, it isn't THAT great of a deal, and you would be lucky to resell it and profit $1000 like suggested earlier.

Either way, it would be quite an upgrade form the Digi002.
