Hi all,

At this point, I could really use some feedback on this Sample_Download, specifically with regard to the overall "sound" in general and the electric guitar tone (if you're guitar oriented).

Got a nice studio? I'd like to see how this stands up. How much does it sound like a home recording? Comment on the effects used. How much can you hear?

Most are scratch tracks and the "real" tracks are about to be put down, so I guess if there's anything to know before this happens, now is the time.

'Tis my first real go making a song.......

Cheers,
FM

Edit: Oh, the title is supposed to say "constructive criticism". I just can't spell.

I thought the guitar tone worked well for the genre. Very good playing too.

Bass part didn't seem to fit to me. Don't know why, that's just what I thought.

The introduction of a harmony guitar part at 1:06 was a little abrupt. I wonder if you could do some automation to harmony part so it comes in more gently.

The snare is pretty slappy.

Yep. This is bearly mixed for listening, and the only part to stay is the acoustic slide part, all others to be re recorded.

But I'm interested in "The snare is pretty slappy". Can you explain what this means? Is that good or bad?
