Hello! I have a Korg TR which I want to control my Roland VR-09 via midi and I can't figure out how. my ideal set up is to call up a preset on my Korg which will automatically call up a preset on my Roland. Does anyone have an idea if this is even possible?

Connect the MIDI-Out of the Korg to the MINI-In of the Roland. I don't know what the Korg sends in the way of patch information, but if you want to be able to use it to select a patch on the Roland then you'll need to send a Bank Select MSB, Bank Select LSB, and Program Change that the Roland recognizes.

Thank you! I wasn't sure where to start. Your response has been invaluable!

If you don't want the Korg to sound whilst playing into the Roland look for "Local Off" in the Korg setup guide.

You have a computer obviously! Do you have a suitable interface to integrate with this MIDI gear? If not you will not find better for £100 than the Steinberg UR22.

Dave.
