Controlling J-Station in SONAR via MIDI??

I'm thinking this won't work, but I figured I should ask anyways.

What I want to do, is be able to control the J-Station in SONAR automatically while recording. I have the J-Station hooked up to the MIDI ins and outs of a Roland UM-1 midi interface.

Ex.

While recording the guitar part to a song I want to be able to switch from a clean tone to a distorted tone on the fly (I don't have a pedel for it). Is there a way to have a MIDI track that can control what patch the J-Station is using? So, if in the song I wanted to change to the distorted tone at measure 10, could I insert something on the MIDI track (at measure 10) to change the patch of the J-Station?

Thanks,
Scott

Just to summarize:

If the J-Station has MIDi-connections, is doable. Just hook it up to your computer, read the manual which MIDI CC's to control, and make envelopes for the CC's you want to change.

:)

Just to make things easier for you:

Here's a Studioware-panel and Instrument Definition for the J-Station! :)

and getting a MIDI foot controller for the J-station will change your life. I use a Behringer FCB1010: two expression pedals and 10 switches. I can literally change any parameter on the J-station I want on the fly with all those switches and pedals.
