Control Surface for Cubase SL 2.0 Mixer

Anyone have a recommendation for a control surface for Cubase SL 2.0? Has anyone tried the JL Cooper CM-10? I'm trying to keep the control surface cost under $500.00.

thanks for any advice or shared experience with such products...
