I've been reading more and more on control interfaces and I've come to the conclusion (as far as functionality goes) that it's going to depend on how I set it up. I was wondering though, I'm looking at 4 different controllers, and I can't really make up my mind, anyone have any good or bad to say about any of these? I'll list what I like about each.

(small, seems like it wouldn't get in the way and would require little to no re-arranging.)

(8 Motorized faders, that's awesome!)

(looks like this one would be more condusive to 8+ track volume control)

(Not really sure about this one, I guess it would work, and give me what I need, but Iunno....)

I am aware that there are several other controllers out there, but as a hobbyist, I'm not spending much until I grasp this concept better. I can pick these up for next to nothing and if I don't like it, I'm not out much. Appreciate any and all help, thanks!

The last one you have linked is only for GarageBand.

The Mackie control surface is nice but I'm sure you're on a budget. I guess on a budget, I'd go for the Behringer with the faders on it. I've heard good things about it.

I too have heard good things about the Behri but I really wanted something a little richer in features. I went with the MCU too...It's directly supported by SONAR (no programming required and I don't like fiddle dinkin) and the over the top features were the Jogg/Shuttle transport controls. I just HAD to have that.

The Behri with the faders is looking like the best "cheap" option, was just wondering if anyone else had any input, thanks for the help guys!
