each track in the console view in sonar used to be thin. now, each track is about 2 inches wide and i cant figure out why or what i did to change this. i have to scroll left and right to view the tracks that are being used.
does anyone know how to correct this problem? i cant seem to find this in the help index....

In the audio preferences, you may have 5 or more auxes chosen. For some reason any more that 4 auxes starts another column. When I reduced mine to 4 auxes, it returned to the thin tracks. Hope that helps.

YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!!
how did you stumble accross that one? i had my aux buses set to 14. i wonder why that changes the console view like that.
anyway, I thank you HUGELY!!!!
thanks!!!:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I've been using Cakewalk since version 4, so I've kinda grown with it. I'm glad your problem is solved!!

Yes, that makes for a rather wasteful consol view. Wish it would scale up/down instead of wider.

i actually bought guitar studio when it 1st came out and have been upgrading ever since and never had that problem before. i guess theres always something new to learn with cakewalk.. LOL!!!!!

Hey All,
I agree, the console view should be improved or customizable. It would be more efficient if you could remove all the wasted unused space. Been using Cake for years and find their console very esy to use. Now if they would only let us make full use of it for our own needs. Peace ..ZZWave
