Guinea Pig
Hi,
Ive been having a hell of a lot of troubles with my set up at home, ive been trying to get it sorted for some time now and ive just been having such bad luck its unbelievable...I could write down all whats happened but im sure this would just bore all of you, so ill just cut to the chase.
Basically i was previously getting alot of static hiss through my monitors (M Audio BX5 speakers) Which used to happen about 2-3 minutes into playing a song. I had to stop the track from playing and then un pause it to get clear sound (Until it did it again 2-3 minutes later). I came to the conclusion that it was the soundcard due to it only doing it every 2-3 minutes and not constantly. I sent the soundcard back (M Audio Delta 1010LT) and upgraded to a M Audio delta 1010 with the breakout box. I
have just hooked it all up and it seems fine apart from the left monitor keeps crackling and hissing. This is worse than the problem before however as i have to turn the monitor off for about 10-15 minutes before the problem goes away. I am using high quality TRS cables from my breakout box to my speakers.
Does anyone have any advice on what could be causing this? Surely the 1010LT and the BX5 speakers werent both dodgy? Or could the broken soundcard damaged my speakers? Any advice/help/suggestions would be HIGHLY Appreciated!
Cheers,
Peace
