Considering Mbox Mini-HELP!!!!!

What's up folks? Another Newbie here....
I'm thinking about getting a mbox mini instead of a standalone tascam, but I'm reading a alot about latency and other things that are "tech" issues. I am much more of a musician than an engineer and don't want to deal headaches when trying to do basic overdubs and, etc... Should I stick with the Tascam or use the Pro Tools? I have basic computer knowledge, but I don't want to spend all my time adjusting, readjusting, and troubleshooting.....HELP!!!!!

First of all, welcome to the board

It's not as complicated as it may seem. Don't be too scared off.

If you're going to go down the pro tools route, get the mbox mini, and a guide
to pro tools. There's loads around. Or even the Pro Tools 101 course book.

And if you're ever stuck in a rut, just hit us up at the pro tools forum. Plenty
of experience in there. For example, I've done 2 pro tools courses and in the
next few months I'll have another 3 done.
