Hello,
Dumb questions possibly, but I can't figure it out or find the answers on the net anywhere. Here goes.
I have a Behringer Mixer that I am planning on running into my Audiophile 2496. Are the RCA's the best way? Next, I want to be able to hear it. I was hoping to use my 5.1 setup for my computer, but I can't figure out how to do this with the 2496. Is there a way? Finally, I have run the RCA's to the in on the card, and I can see the VMU meter working in the M-Audio software mixer, but I can't see it in Soundforge. I think in SF all I get is a hum or something from my other (onboard) sound card. HELP!
What do you suggest? Can I run 5.1 or am I SOL there? Can I run 2 sound cards as in the 2496 and the onboard sound which is 5.1? How do I set up Soundforge to use the 2496? Also, is there such a thing as say, RCA to 1/8" plug converter to use the outs on the 2496 with my existing 5.1 speakers?
Thanks for any help/suggestions. This is a lot more work than I thought it would be when I bought the card. ACK!!
