I have a Compaq Presario 7000 with a factory SoundBlaster soundcard. I also have a Phillips powered 5- speaker system connected to my sound card through the in/out ports of the sub-woofer. Iwant to connect my (newer) Sony turntable to the computer so I can upload LPs to the computer to burn CD archives. I have been told to use a preamplifier (PP1 by NAV) to connect the turntable.
My sub woofer has 4 speaker ports, an in port, a surrnd. port, (hooked to my sound card) and 2 other ports for connecting to an audio/video source.
If I hook the preamp and turntable to the soundcard, where do the speakers hook up? I want to configure so I can hear the music as I transfer songs to the computer.
Thank you, Keith
