This project amazes me. I hate not gnowing what I'm doing, and even worse, I hate for the world+dog to gnow I don't gnow right along with me.
Wanna do h/d recording. To inspire myself I bought the Delta 410 card with all those RCA female end cables. I registered here to figure out how to hook up my desktop speakers. The people here finally got me to understand I not only had to have powered speakers, but the input had to be amplified also. Found myself trusting this guy who seemed to gnow what he was doing and bought the DMP3 pre-amp two days ago. Coupla questions.
Can I connect the pre-amp directly to the card if all I want to do is record to h/d?
I have never held or seen a pre-amp or a microphone such as the one I'll eventually use here before. I don't know where to plug in the microphone or route the input cables. There are two plug ins on the back of the preamp. one is a round female socket with three holes. The other is a quarter inch female receptacle. Which one is for the microphone?
Previous to buying the card I had never noticed an RCA connector before. When I got to the store to buy one I didn't gnow what I was looking for.
I'm an old man. I got no business messing with this stuff. I'm doing it anyway. Will y'all help me again?
Thanks
