Hey everyone, Until now i have just been connecting my Boss GT-6 1/4" Output Jack into the microphone Input on my computer...

However after having spent hours upon hours reading various forums I have realised that this isn't the best way to connect it to my PC as I usually have to turn the volume level down very low to prevent clipping during recording...

Problem is i can't see a Digital Line in on my PC (its not a standard PC, its called a multitainer "multimedia" system and has a special multimedia processor)It works well for recording...

Will I be able to connect the digital out connector (coaxial) on my GT-6 to those "red and white" inputs on my computer?

Based on the picture you have there, you don't have digital input on your computer. You need to run the analog outputs from your GT-6 to the line inputs on your computer (red and white connectors). You will need 1/4" to RCA adapters to do this.

The reason you are having cliping when you run into the mic inputs is that those have built-in preamps and are not inteded for line level signals.

Good luck
Erich

Excellent

Thanks a lot .... i did a search for them and they are only a few £'s each ...i'll get them tomorrow...This should hopefully allow me to turn the pedal volume up a lot more when recording :)
