I'm not 100% sure of the exact details, but I think this was the weekend that Lt Bob got inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. That's a pretty major accomplishment in a state that invented jazz and has given the world so many huge and important musicians and artists over the decades.

Congrats Boob! :guitar: :D :thumbs up:

was it for your sax playing or just all around musicianship?

Could of been for your good looks. ;)

No offense, but I bet he is knee deep in wh.......

Never mind. Public forum...He shall wake from the trauma of greatness soon. lol!

Again, congrats Lt Bob!

who all here was inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame?

only me?

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm ....... :D

Yep ...... was inducted this last weekend when I went back to Baton Rouge to play a reunion gig with a band I was in from around the mid 70's to the early 80's.
I gotta go but I'll post some clips and pics later if there's any interest.
Here's one though:

Thanks for pointing out this thread chili and thank you Greg for posting it.

Yeah ........ it was an induction for the band I went to Baton Rouge to do a reunion gig with.
We were together from the mid 70's to early 80's. It was a mostly original music band and in general it was a parody and comedy band. Stuff like the song about the band's sheep ..... "Truly Mae I love you for the wool on your back" ...... and a 50's doo-wop song about a love struck shark ... 'Jaws of Love ( I ate my baby )'

In fact ..... here's Jaws right now! :D

I stayed a few extra days to play with as many friends as I could ... got back in last night late. It was awesome!
We had people fly in from Massachusetts to see it ..... the place was packed .... the crowd remembered all the bits ..... and the band kicked as if no time had passed despite only one rehearsal. And we had some serious harmonies too but they just fell into place.

You can go, if you care to , to Shotgun LeBoa and the Livestock Show's facebook page to see a lotta pics and possibly get an idea of what the band was.
If ya'll want ..... I'll post some clips from 30 years ago.

There's a bunch of yall on youtube!
I think that's all 30 years old with crappy sound (super 8 film cameras) but there may be some current stuff now so lemme go look.

And .......... thanks Greg.
