Hi all.
am in the process of going over to software recording, from hardware and am a bit confused over soundcards.
I am looking at either cubase system 4 , OR a tascam us 122 and cubase se/sl/sx. Am undecided which setup to go for.
My computer is well within the required spec for both these programmes.
The main problem i cant find an answer to is,,,, would the tascam or steinberg interface, conflict with my pci slot soundcard.?
I have a creative audigy zx2, and am happy with it, as it has great 5:1 surround sound, and i have very expensive surround speakers to go with it.
Can i keep the audigy installed on the computer for listening to my music, and watching dvds etc,,, but still use one of these interfaces to start pc recording.?
The speakers i have on the computer wouldnt be any good for monitoring, i would like to still continue using my power amp and alesis monitors, in conjuction with one of the 2 systems named above.
hope someone can be of assistance,
many thanks,,,kev.
