I'm facing a dilema. I want to get into analog/tape/outboard mixing stuff. But, I'm a one-man band and I don't know if 8-tracks would be enough for what I want to do. Currently, I've got an AH Mixwiz that is made for 8-track recording...and a Delta 44. I know a guy that is selling a nice Tascam 388 for $400. I LOVE digital editing and am not necessarily looking for the "tape sound." I really don't want to get rid of my mixer (which kicks ass) but the 388 is sort-of an all-in-one unit. I don't know about the pres or anything like that. Am I shooting myself in the foot here? Help a troubled soul
