Ok, so I want to get the end part of a vocal to tail off with some delay. I think I remember doing this on pro-tools a while back by creating an aux send, and then I believe I returned it to another track, and boosted the volume only when I wanted the delay to occur.

But how do I do this on N-track? I tried clicking on "draw aux send 1" and boosting that where the vocal part is, then I went to aux send 1, put some delay on it, turned up the "return volume." I got nothing. I tried to "draw return volume", the same as I did the send, but the line for the retun volume was non-existent. It seemed to be on the bottom of the track, but I couldn't get any nodes on it. When I clicked somewhere on the track it said "aux 2 return volume +xdbs"... I'm really confused. Anyone know what the heck I could do?

Thanks

Hiya.

Yes, you can do that in N. You're on the right track. Just keep in mind that the evolutions don't override the settings in the mixer; they augment them.

So..... put an effect in the AUX. Raise the AUX Return and the AUX Send (of the channel involved). Test and adjust the levels until you have plenty of effect.

THEN draw AUX Send evolutions to raise or lower the level of the effect. In your case, you'd draw the AUX Send evolution to zero right until the end of the song.

Hope this helps.
