confused about where to find cord

Hi, I have just recently wanted to do simple recording through my p.c. via samplitude basic. I have an amp and shure 57 mic to record my guitar but no cord, I think the cord would be a standard prong to 1/4" mini male? If so where can I find this? Thank you.

I think you mean 1/8 inch mini jack.Get the mic cord
at your music store, get a 1/8 inch adaptor ar Radio

Whoa, wait up... you really need a preamp between the mic and the PC or you will not get very good results. The preamps on the Mic In on cheap soundcards are dreadful.

Alchuck, I have a mixer with phantom power, and
a condenser mic. I totally forgot about the pre-amp.
Mea Culpa. Alchuck is right, a preamp is needed.
