OK, I went nuts with the tax return, picked up some new equipment, and would appreciate some advice on how to set this stuff up with the equipment I already have. Here are the pieces of the puzzle - I'd like to hear your opinions about how they should be set up.
* Roland UA100 with optical and analog output connected to my computer through the USB port.
* Roland SC8850 connected to the UA100.
* Sony Minidisc with one optical in and two optical outs.
* Tascam 112R cassette recorder with analog I/O's.
* Tascam CD-RW5000 with optical I/O, XLR AES/EBU input, balanced analog output, unbalanced analog I/O, Coaxial digital I/O.
* Mackie 1202 mixer
* Tannoy Active Reveal monitors
Any suggestions as to the most efficient way to connect everything together? The mixer and the CDRW5000 are new. I record my midi and audio through the UA100, mix it down into a wave file, and burn it onto a CD with the burner in my computer. Geez, now that I look at all of this stuff on an actual list, it makes me realize what an expensive hobby (or compulsion) this is.
