Okay, I'm just starting out and I think I've narrowed my decision for a condenser mic down to these - the M-Audio Luna or the AKG C2000B. Any comments?? I'll be using this primarily for my vocals, but also for an acoustic guitar. Do tell, do tell.

Well, I've never used the M-Audio Luna but I use an AKG-2000B for vocals. I like the sound, I think it's great for pre-production projects.

I think I'm the biggest cheerleader on the board for the Solaris... If you can spare the extra ($50 or so?) it's a hard-core cool sounding microphone...

I'm not really familiar with the Luna, but the C2000B is one of the most versatile cheap mics made. I recommend getting it with the H100 shock mount from 8th street. It's a really good shock mount, and it will fit quite a few other mics.-Richie

Thanx Massive, but for a newbie would the Luna be alright. I would get the Solaris if a mic were all I were buying, but I'm kind of getting everything at once here, so if I spend an extra hundred dollars on everything I get, before I know it I've spent a couple of extra grand.
