I'm looking to purchase my first condenser mic (or two). Primarily for acoustic guitar but also for some vocal and drum work. I'm looking to spend $100-$200 for the mic. Suggestions?

Mars has the Marshall V67 for $99.I have one and I've used it on male vox and kick as well as acoustic guitar. Here is a brief clip of that mic on a cedartop dreadnaught acoustic.

The ECM8000 omni's are pretty good on guitar and drums but not vocals. An MXL and a ECM would make a nice pair for under $200

Or a V67 and a 603S. 603's are LUVLY on 'coustic gee-tar :D

Could get a lot of mileage out of those two....

ditto on the v67 and a pair of 603's.....

if you can only get one, get the v67......

AT 40 series

Have recorded 2 masters and dozens of demos with the AT4041 and a Martin 000-16...killer! Picked one up for my home studio at 199.00...
