Concession Legalities

Lets say one was to D.I.Y. a local concert, renting a hall from some sort of organization. Is there any sort of legal nonsense one has to go through in order to sell soda, water, candy, etc? Nothing that would require preparation, like hot dogs for example, all closed pre-packaged items.

Its cool to sell candy and stuff long as it doesnt have "this item is not for resell" on it. Its cool make the extra money.
