I am in need of some guidance in this category. I plan to buy an ADAT and mixer in the near future (as I posted on some other forums). After I lay down my tracks, i know i can play back from ADAT and mix to tape, dat, etc. I want some info on computer integration. If I use the ADAT edit pci card to get tracks on my computer, can I perform the mix on the computer? Is the ADAT edit software worthwhile? If not, what are you guys using? It just seems that a mix down would be a lot easier on the computer. Do these software packages have features like cut/paste, loop, etc? I know you can add effects and all. I also have checked out the Ensoniq Paris system, but I did not like the full computer interface. I want to stick with mixer/adat and go from there. Any suggestions?
