computer or mixer?

heres the settup me and my guys are going to have!
1 computer pentium 4 2.8ghz
512ram ddr
80bg hard drive (s-ata)
1 yamaha mg 16/4 mixer
some microphones like the sm57 and sennheisers
1 staudio dsp2000 10in 10out

now is it better to do the final mix on the computer or to put the drums through a stereo output on the soundcard and mix the rest on the external mixer?
cos i've been wandering whats best?

You are going to have a lot more flexability using your computer to do the final mix downs.

i try to track individually and keep everything as much in the digital realm as possible. if its running through feet of cable into and out of mixers you are losing sound quality
