Hi everyone,
I am using an RV6 condenser microphone which is brilliant, but I am having a slight problem. I am using an m-audio fast track usb interface to connect the microphone to the pc via a USB port. I want to record directly to my pc but the fan on the pc is REALLY loud, and it is also producing quite a high ringing sound which gets picked up by the microphone. The only way I can avoid this sound is by turning off my computer, but then I have nothing to record into because I want to record directly into fruity loops, which requires my pc to be on.. I really don't know how to keep my pc on but avoid picking up the fan noise. I have tried gates but the noise is so loud it still picks it up when I talk.
I did try using my laptop instead, but it doesn't want to work with the USB interface and it produces a loud buzz when recording, so I tried to avoid that idea.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks,
Dan.
