Lemme guess - are you using an onboard soundcard?

That is what happens when you do not use a souncard designed for audio recording. It picks up interference from the rest of your system.

On My Mastering PC I get a Bit of noise through my Monitors when doing regular PC activities and I have a Integrated sound card on my Mastering PC...

On my recording PC with my Delta 44 I get no noise through my Monitors.....

wonder why that is

thats the same card as i have, i do my mixing on the pc which i guess would'nt be much different from recording to the computer

must be the computer !!!!!!!!

In the grand scheme of things the 2496 is a cheap card. Unbalanced RCA connectors give you little protetion from RF interference from the rest of the system.

Also, the Delta 44 is not the same thing as the 2496. The 44 and 66 both make use of an external, somewhat shielded breakout box which does have 1/4 balanced connectors.

Unplug the AC to the computer and see if the noise goes away.

You can also turn off computer sounds so you don't get audible mouse clicks and so forth.
