alright, im putting my computer together and its all gone fine up till now. installing win98. and it keeps stalling on that window that says "preparing to rn win 98 for the first time" its pissing me off!!!!!! whats up?

Are you sure you let it hang there long enough? I just went through that and I was certain the thing had locked up but it came through it without any intervention.

this isnt the drum.. this is the cloudy screen with the white blue bar at the bottom moving across. but it aint moving. and my harddisk light is on. but nothing happens for a long time.

Are you installing windows with only the bare essential components, i.e. Video Card, Memory. If not, try it over from scratch to at least give you some idea of what may be happening.

yea, i thought it was probably a dirty install so i formatted, and then reinstalled and it worked. and ive been playing on it all night. but now i need some internet so im back on my bro's computer. i still dont have a phone line hooke dup in my apartment its my 5th week living here! haha. i will sometime soon.
