My delta 1010 died recently and now I'm trying to use my old layla 20 in my new computer which is an AMD XP Processor and the motherboard has a via chipset, I know back a few years ago that the layla wasnt compatiable with the via chipsets in amd computers. But it seems to work fine, but if I have my layla external box off my computer will freeze sometimes when you try to playback sounds, i dont know if the computer gets confused because its looking for the layla and it cant playback without the external unit on. But I mainly playback on the onboard soundcard anyway though. I'd like to leave my external off, unless I'm using it, is it bad to leave the layla on all the time?
I use to leave delta 1010 all the time, and I think thats why it died probably. has anyone else had this problem?
