Hi Guys,
I'm exposing my ignorance here but I need some help and I trust your opinions.
I want to use my computer at work as a "note-taker/dictation machine". Sound quality is not an issue at all. The machine is a PC w/Win98se. It has a Soundscape Audio PCI Wave In (?) soundcard. I've got 10 gigs of free disk space and 64 meg RAM.
With the cheapo pc microphone and Sound Recorder I can, in fact, record voice. The problem is that Sound Recorder has what appears to be a default 60 second file length. This won't do.
Does anyone know of a way to change that setting in Sound Recorder? Or, better yet, can anyone recommend a cheap (free is nice) program for taking notes, recording meetings and whatnot?
Thanks guys,
lou
