Try a Ashly SC-50. They are getting harder to find and the price is going up but they are still fairly cheap and great for guitars and bass. I have two.

creatureofhabit,

Just wanted to tell you about my new favorite ebay tool, the "Saved searches" function. It lets you save searches, and will notify you by email when things you want come up for sale.
You could make a few pretty wide parameter searches, like "dbx 118 117" and see what comes up. I find it's better than Prepal to find out what things are selling for currently.
I also like the "Submit best offer" option, you can submit a one-time offer for a piece. The buyer can choose to end the auction early and accept your offer.

Hey, can you post a link, I can't seem to find that on ebay. Sounds WAY COOL! :D

It's an option for the seller, it doesn't come up on every auction, sorry if I wasn't clear. :o

You have saved searches and you can also have saved sellers. Great tools, I use both those features every time I'm on eBay.

I have found the dbx 163X to be very useful. It just has a "more" control and an output gain. I have four of them, and like them quite a bit. They are going for about $50 on eBay all the time. I also love the 160A's. They just seem to work. They don't get out of control on me, and they are fairly transparent.

Cheers,
Zach
